Hajime Asaoka, an independent watchmaker that produces very high-end watches by hand, established Kurono Tokoyo as a more accessible brand, showcasing his design vision and utilizing Japanese movements from Seiko. By fitting the substantial and robust NE86 movement in a thin 38mm case, he was able to evoke a vintage theme with features like a plexiglass-like sapphire box crystal, dial-present tachymeter and pulsameter, and logo-less crown and clasp, to name a few.

This robust, tactile, and practical timepiece provides a fantastic amount of horological value for the investment, and it is deserving of a spot in any man's collection.

Overall: Excellent, pre-owned condition. It is absolutely stunning on the wrist!

The steel surfaces show absolute minimal, superficial wear.

The dial and crystal are clean.

The bespoke aftermarket strap the watch is currently on is in excellent condition and is free of any unpleasant odors. The OEM strap seems to be very minimally used or entirely unused.
